Sample a 70s Soundtrack to an Italian Erotic Thriller

Directed by Massimo Pirri, the 1976 Italian film 'Càlamo' turned from a hidden gem into a Euro-cult classic. The erotic thriller theme needed a sleazy soundtrack: for that, composer Claudio Tallino, a.k.a. Greekian, turned to heavy strings, funky basslines, wah-wah effects, psychedelic vibes, and the Hammond organ.

"Classic Italian sound of the time filled with funky drums and breaks dopeness, spaced-out downtempo beats, and hypnotic basslines."

—Sonor Music Editions

"The impression on cinema soundtrack history of Italian composer Claudio Tallino may be shallower than that of his contemporaries. Still, works such as 'Calamo' demonstrate his great skill in funkily conveying the libido, sleaze, and dangers of Giallo cinema."

—Norman Records
