Sample the Architect of Brazil's Tropicália Movement
Somewhat parallel to psychedelic rock in the US in the late 60s, in Brazil another movement was on the rise: Tropicália, a loose collective of radical modernists who found inspiration in bossa nova, samba, modern art, 50s poetry, avant-garde film, and psychedelic pop. Guitarist, experimentalist, singer, and composer Tom Zé was one of the leading figures of the ground-breaking movement that set off Brazil's psychedelic era.
