Samuel Waldo a.k.a. Samarei is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer who has played on records by Dave East, Joyner Lucas, Dreamville, Chris Orrick, among others. Lost In Spacetakes his music from hip-hop collabs to new worlds:
Los Angeles-based electronic music composer Rory Khan Mohon creates music that is at the intersection of where John Carpenter and Brian Eno meet. His 2017 debut album ***Man on Mars***showcases the more ethereal and atmospheric side to his synth-heavy productions. The follow-up album, Darkly Dreaming, is grounded in 80s retrowave while also exploring spacey synth sounds on songs like “Jupiter.”
"A highly distinctive new sound that connects the dense modal funk of Miles Davis' Agartha group with a potent shot of dub electronics."

Blowfly is an R&B singer-turned rap parodist, previously sampled by Wu-Tang Clan, Jurassic 5, The Pharcyde, DJ Shadow, Masta Ace, among others. We have featured The Weird World of Blowfly before. But for “Blowfly in Outerspace,” he departs from his own oddball universe for an 80s synth trip into another universe far, far away.
On Istanbul Sessions**,** Swedish-Turkish saxophone player İlhan Erşahin is joined by the likes of trumpet player Brandon Lewis (for the occasion on drums!), DARKSIDE's Dave Harrington, and acclaimed Norwegian trumpet player Nils Petter Molvær. His free-form avant-garde jazz on Istanbul Sessions is partly inspired by space—no wonder, after working together with Sun Ra Arkestra contrabassist Jiuni Booth. Erşahin knows space is the place. In the words of Jazzwise Magazine, Istanbul Sessions boasts a wide mix of styles: "a highly distinctive new sound that connects the dense modal funk of Miles Davis' Agartha group with the dervish whirl of Turkish and middle-eastern melodies and spikes it with a potent shot of dub electronics."

"He professes a percussion sound and vision unlike any other, and when he is sometimes called “the Jimi Hendrix of percussion,” it’s not much of an exaggeration," All About Jazz once wrote about Badawi, one of the many monikers by composer and sound artist Raz Mesinai. “Space Invasion” and “Space Landing” are part of Death Notes, a heavy body of work of ambient and contemporary classical music for amplified piano and live processing.
Think of Space Vacuum From Outer Space as The B52’s, Joy Division, and Siouxee and The Banshees taking a galactic trip together, on a starship packed with new-wave records and 50s television sets for homesickness and inspiration.
This five-part suite by Brazilian instrumentalist Thiago França of São Paulo trio Metá Metá is a mind-bending cosmic trip of spiritual jazz, punk-jazz, free jazz minded trumpet playing, and heavy drum breaks.
Library music is known for offering a wide array of moods, themes, and vibes. Space-inspired compositions included, such as Final Frontiers (1954 - 1966) by Cavendish Music. Even Kingsway Music Library founder Frank Dukes brings his trademark warm, analog 60s-inspired synth sounds into space for a one-off intergalactic trip.
