Johnnie Mae Matthews

Absolute Godess on the British Northern Soul scene, JMM was the first and only female Record Label owner in the USA. She released a number of tracks on her own label Blue Rock and was famously portrayed - some say wrongly - as a money grabbing promoter of the Temptations pre-motown in one of their retrospective movies.
